The history of Bodo films is not yet so long. The Bodo film history started with documentary film Daina which was released in 1984. The first Bodo documentary film was written by Kamal Kumar Brahma and directed by Amar Hazorika. The noted Bodo writer and film star Ganakanta Basumatary was playing main role in the film. The film highlights the witch hunting in Bodo society.
After the documentary film Daina, the first Bodo feature film Alayaron (The Dawn) was released on 13th March 1986 at Ganga Talkies Cinema Hall, Kokrajhar. The film was written by Nilkamal Brahma along with Heramba Narzary, directed by Jwngdao Bodosa and produced by Bodosa Film Society. The most successful actor Amarsing Narzary and Rahila Brahma playing main roles in the film. The film story is based on love between rich girl and poor family boy. The film highlights servant system and economic renaissance among Bodo society. The film was awarded Best feature film in Bodo language and Rajat Kamal Award in the same year.
After Alayaron film release several films in Bodo both short and feature films was releaseed in only two decades like Jiuni Simang, Kwmsini Lama, Enaini Panjari, Gumur ect. Since the first Bodo feature film Alayaron realeased in 1986, the Bodo films release continuously, and more than thousand Bodo films releaseed till date.

Beher- The romantic action film is most popular in the history of Bodo film. The film all-time famous for its romantic songs like Bibar nwng bibar manw barw, Swrdi swrdi horbai nwibe lijama and rickshaw angni rickshaw etc.
Bihamjw Rani: The family drama film was featured by Rajib Brahma and Sangina Brahma playing as leading roles. The daughters-in-law spoiled the one happy family. The songs of the film was sung by Gautaum Brahma, Sanjib Basumatary, Purnima Basumatary and Sulekha Basumatary.
Bikhaya Gaow Khugaya Geowa: The film was starred by Dilip Basumatary and Masoom Brahma as leading roles. Probin Goyary also playing as supporting role in the film.

Buhut: The action horror film was starred by Simanta Basumatary as antagonist character.
Daini Saja: The crime and action film was starred by Dilip Basumatary, Rajorshi Basumatary and Sangina Brahma as main roles.
Daoha- The family drama film was starred by Rajib Brahma and Nijwm Muchahary. Jwngsrang Brahma, Simpul Basumatary and Amarsing Narzary also featuring in this film. The film story is based on fighting between Daughter-in-law and Mother-in-law.
Dwrfw Dwrfw- The romantic action film was starred by Rajib Brahma, Riju Swargiary and Masoom Brahma as leading roles. Jwngsrang Brahma was playing comic role in the film.
Enaini Panjari: The action crime film was released in 1996. The film highlights the political activities and its influence towards society. The film is always popular for its romantic songs. The songs are sung by Bigrai Brahma, Sulekha Basumatary and others. Some of the most popularity songs are Hajwni dwi srai srai, Bilifang horni okhafwr gaodang and Bobe raijwni rajkhungur.
Facebook ni swinai: The romantic tragedy film was starred by Birba, Barun, Bipul Muchahary and Jirina Brahma as leading roles. The well-known Bodo comedian Mosko Brahma and Tampwi Dangra Basumatary play supporting roles in the film. The film story and script was written by Bipul Muchahary, edited by Sachin Lahari. It was directed by Bipul Muchahary and produced by Badari Film Production Present. The duration of the film is total 154 minutes.
The music of the film is scored by Biju. The lyrics were composed by Bipul Muchahary and the songs were sung by Bipul Muchahary, Usha Rani Brahma and Dipa Basumatary.
