Dilip Basumatary was an Indian Bodo film actor and dancer. He is remembered for his leading roles in the films Onnaini Douleng, Bikhaya Gaow Khugaya Geoa, Gwrbwni Mwdwi, Daini Saja, Simang, Laothaini Simang, Hajw Khoroni Sikhla, Mr. Ranger Babu etc.
He was one of the best dancers of the Bodo video albums namely Himalaya, Gaurang Dwisa, Dao Dao etc.
Onnaini Dauleng (2005) was his first film for he established himself as an actor through his acting debut. In this romantic film, he acted with the famous actress Gitanjali Basumatary. There is a deep love and family rivalry between the young man and girl of two different religions in this film, but after not being able to separate their love, the family members understand each other and get them married.
