1.The first book in Bodo language was published in 1915. The title of the book was ‘Boroni Fisa O’ Ayen'. The editors of the book were Gangacharan Kachari and Narapati Basumatary. This came about through the efforts of the Howraghat Bara Sammelan. The book contains the rules that were followed in some of the princely states at that time.
2.The book Boroni Fisa O' Ayen was followed by a book of poems titled ‘Bathu Naam Baikhaguni Githu’. The book was published in the year 1920. Its author was Proshna Kumar Boro Khakhlary.
3.In 1923, Khonthai Methai was edited and published by Rupnath Brahma and Madaram Brahma jointly.
4.The first magazine in Bodo language ‘Bibar’ was published in the year 1924. Well known Bodo writer and social activist Satish Chandra Basumatary was the editor of the book. It was the magazine of Boro Satra Sanmilanni.
5.Boroni Fisa O’ Ayen: Its author was Madaram Brahma. It appeared in print in 1926. Basically, it is a mystic level prayer book. It is one of the most valuable books in the world of Boro literature.
6.Hathorkhi Hala: This magazine book was edited by Promod Chandra Brahma, the first ACS officer from the Bodo community. It was published in 1940. The first short story in Bodo language Abari which was written by Ishan Muchahary was published in this magazine.
7.Jujaini Or : The first novel book in Bodo literature. This novel was written by Chittaranjan Muchahary and published in 1962.
8.Fwimal Mijink: The first short story book in Bodo literature written by Chittaranjan Muchahary. The book was published in 1970.
9.Okhrang Gongse Nangou: The Someswari Brahma Literary Award winning poetry book was published in 1975. The book was written by Sahitya Akademi Awardee Brajendra Kr Brahma.
10.Bibari Gaodang : The poetry book is written by Brajendra Kr Brahma, and published by Bodo Advisory Board.
11.Baidi Dengkhw Baidi Gab: The prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award winning poetry book is written by Brajendra Kumar Brahma and published by Bodo Advisory Board. It was published in 2012.
12.Udangnifrai Gidingfinnanei : The Sahitya Akademi Award winning poetry book is written by Urkhao Gwra Brahma. The book was published in 2012.
13.Birgwsrini Thungri: The Sahitya Akademi Award winning historical novel book is written by Bidyasagar Narzary. The historical novel written based on Bodo legend Birgwsri Sikhla who was fought against British in 20th century. The book was published in the year 2004.
14.Swmdwn: The historical full-length drama is written by Dr. Mangalsingh Hazoary. The drama written by based on the life history of Bodo legend Swmdwn Jwhwlao from Kachar who fought against British.
